Dr. Reenu Varghese is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Nurse Practitioner degree from North Park University, IL in 2010 and completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. She has been practicing in outpatient Family Medicine clinics since 2010 and is well-versed in taking care of patients of all ages with varied illnesses. She has received various awards during her professional career. In 2016, she was awarded the “Marie Lindsey Spirit of Advanced Practice Nursing Award” at the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses (ISAPN) convention.
This award is given by the ISAPN in affiliation with the American Nurses Association (ANA) to one licensed APN in Illinois who exemplifies the characteristics of leadership, commitment, and achievement in advanced practice nursing. She was also recognized as one of the “40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders” in 2016. She serves her patients with clinical excellence and with a compassionate heart. She believes that health is a state of complete well-being and uses various modalities to manage her patients. Her focus is on preventative medicine and believes that most diseases can be prevented with therapeutic lifestyle changes. She is multilingual and is a versatile provider. She is married, has 3 children and is active in her church community.
