Derek Bonn APRN, FNP-BC, CEN is a graduate of University of Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. He also attended graduate school at Walden University in 2017. FNP-BC Derek Bonn trained in Houston Texas, and during his residency, he learned to provide superior care and consultation that resulted in an overall improvement of patient satisfaction. Afterwards, he completed an internship in Houston Texas, and FNP-BC Derek Bonn focused on the patient treatment and reevaluated several methods of treatment towards family practice that is tailored to a patient’s individual patient history and efficacy of previous treatments.
His many years of experiences as a paramedic, and emergency room nurse eventually led him to attend the residency training program as a family nurse practitioner. Afterward, he began his career as an FNP-BC in the emergency department, urgent care, and family practice setting. FNP-BC Derek Bonn has been practicing as an FNP-BC since 2018 and has been with Stephen F Austin community health since 2019.
Currently, FNP-BC Derek Bonn holds certifications from the ANCC (American nurses credentialing center) for family practice. FNP-BC Derek Bonn is also certified from the ENA (emergency nurses association) in trauma nursing (TNCC), emergency nursing pediatrics (ENPC), and as a certified emergency nurse (CEN). He also inspires young nursing students to enter the advanced practice registered nurse field.
