Community Health Network (CHN) is pleased to announce the award of a $250,000 grant from Americares Hurricane Harvey Relief Program to use the Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) to provide essential primary care, dental and mental health services to low-income residents of Brazoria and Galveston County displaced and impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The MMU will deploy to various communities including social service organizations, hotels, trailer parks, and multiple cities on a rotating schedule. This generous award will allow CHN to provide face to face care and extend Telehealth services to approximately 1,000 unique individuals who cannot travel to a CHN clinic site. Community Health Network greatly appreciates Americares for the tremendous grant and opportunity to provide quality services and programs to enhance the lives of the Brazoria and Galveston community.
Americares helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, increase access to medicine and medical supplies, improve and expand clinical services, prevent disease and promote good health.
